This memory quilt is the first quilt I made for my husband. It is made with dad’s clothing which includes his shirts, jeans, and corduroy pants. The shirts are in half square triangle blocks, and the border is made from blue jeans. The back of the quilt has black and white photos to show the family through the years.
I had the opportunity to make 7 memory quilts for a very special family to remember their grandmother. The quilt top design is squares on frames and each square is a piece of clothing which included women’s blouses, shirts, pajamas, and dresses. Favorite quotes are also stitched on the quilt top.
This memory quilt is to represent the love and bond between a father and daughter. The quilt top design represents the many trips they made to South America. The quilt top is stitched with their favorite plumeria flowers and favorite quotes.
“I knew you before you were born” This is a pre-quarantine memory quilt made for a client. She wanted a quilt made from t-shirts her son wore playing sports through the years. That same son is now expecting a baby boy and this quilt is a welcome baby gift.
